PetMassage for Dogs Day

WHEREAS, AS Mayor of the City of Toledo, It is my privilege and responsibility to recognize those individuals and groups that have made outstanding achievements that reflect on the well-being and growth of the Toledo community and its citizens; and
WHEREAS, On July 11, 1997, during an on-air interview with Channel 11, Jonathan Rudinger announced a new concept upon which he would base his company and professional career going forward. His company, PetMassage Training & Research Institute teaches the most effective and rewarding methods to conduct massage techniques on canines and first opened and still remains in Toledo, Ohio; and
WHEREAS, PetMassage Training & Research Institute founder Jonathan Rudinger has produced 4 training DVD’s, written 7 books, and has provided over 300 professional level canine massage workshops with proper training techniques and styles for both land and the indoor PetMassage WaterWork Pool. Mr. Rudinger has been quoted and interviewed in publications such as Dog Fancy an Natural Dogs Magazines, among others; and
WHEREAS, In conjunction with PetMassage, Jonathan also founded the International Association of Animal Massage and Bodywork/ Association of Canine Water Therapy, which now has more than 500 members from across the globe. This organization focuses primarily on the education and accreditation for the majority of animal massage and bodywork schools around the world, and has held many conferences which have brought visitors to the Glass City from every corner of the United States, Japan, Canada, France and Germany. While the business and organizational success is both highly respected and revered internationally, the true triumph lies in the happiness that these techniques have provided to canines for the past 15 years; in recognition, July 11th shall serve as PetMassage for Dogs day in Toledo, Ohio.
NOW THEREFORE, I Michael P. Bell, Mayor of the City of Toledo, by the powers vested in me hereby congratulate

Upon 15 Successful Years in Operation
And do urge all citizens to join me in honoring the importance of this organization. Not only has it brought thousands of visitors to Northwest Ohio, it has also improved the quality of life for Toledo residents, both human and canine.
